Cecile Miller Eistrup ’58 Named Inaugural Winner of Truth and Toil Award

With the acceptance of this award Cecile has made Brearley history again; in 1950, entering Brearley as a member of Class VI, Cecile was the first student of color to be admitted at the School. Years later, in gratitude to Cecile for opening the doors for future generations of Brearley students of color, a group of alumnae formed the Miller Society, whose purpose includes supporting current students and families of color and propelling diversity, equity and inclusion at the School.

On September 28, 2022, a reception was held at Brearley to celebrate Cecile’s latest honor. Check out the photos here and read about it in the new issue of the Bulletin!
