Dance: Our Captain’s Picks of the Week are Syona (XI) and Hanna (X)! While having a few people out sick this week there was a large group rehearsal in which we were missing two out of three people in a part of a dance. Syona and Hanna stepped up and filled those parts, which they were not required to know, for the entirety of the rehearsal! We appreciate their willingness to practice extra on the side and to help out when the team is in need!
JV Basketball: JV Basketball’s CPOW is Natasha! Natasha was injured for the first half of the season, and now that she is back, is working very hard! She learns our plays quickly and scored within a minute of our most recent game! She is super positive in practice and works well with everyone on the team.
Varsity Basketball: Our CPOW is Grace Bolner (X)! Grace is consistently very hard-working, and her kindness towards her teammates and competitors matches her dedication. She makes important plays on both offense and defense, often grabbing rebounds and making important shots. Grace is incredibly supportive of her teammates, and she always congratulates them after making a shot, playing good defense, or improving a skill. She also worked so well with the Lower Schoolers at our clinic on Saturday, which was so cute and fun to watch! She is such an important part of the team on and off the court and we are so happy to have her!
Swimming: This week's CPOW is Diana Bates! Diana is an integral member of our team in all our meets, reliably winning two of the toughest events, the 200 IM and 500 free, as well as anchoring two relays. We will always be in awe of her speed, and her eagerness to help the team motivates us all. Almost as importantly, she excelled in our water polo match this week. She gained possession of the ball in nearly every point, passed to her teammates flawlessly, and scored countless goals, leading us to a 14-3 victory over Chapin. We are so grateful to have her on our team!!
Squash: Squash’s CPOW for the week is Christina Flynn! She has been working so hard the past couple of weeks. We are so proud of her grit and determination against the tough competition we have faced in our past few matches. We can’t wait to see her play at nationals! Keep squashing, Christina!
