Brearley Welcomes New Head of Upper School Student Life
The Brearley School is very pleased to welcome Dr. Betty L. Noel-Pierre, a scholar, teacher and administrator with a breadth of experience across a number of institutions, as Brearley’s new Head of Upper School Student Life. She assumed her new responsibilities on July 1, succeeding Evelyn Segal who retired after a 43-year career at Brearley.
Dr. Noel-Pierre served as Head of the Middle School at Saint Ann's School. She began her teaching career while earning her PhD in molecular genetics and microbiology from Stony Brook University, where she received the Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Department. She has taught Middle School and Upper School science at Saint Ann's, the Browning School and Marymount, and has been an instructor at Stony Brook University. Dr. Noel-Pierre also served as the Director of Equity and Diversity at Browning and as the Academic Dean for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Summer Program.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Noel-Pierre to our community and are eager to watch how her knowledge and leadership will contribute to Brearley over the coming years.
