  • Captain's Pick of the Week

Squash's CPOW for this week is Natalie! Natalie is always so enthusiastic at practice and ready to play. She was new to squash this year and over the course of the season, we have seen her improve so much. It is an absolute joy to watch her play at practice and at matches. We admire her hard work and cheerful attitude. Keep up the great work Natalie!

Dance Troupe’s CPOW is Isabelle Clark (X)! Isabelle is always on top of her responsibilities as a performer and choreographer. She devotes an admirable amount of her time both in and outside of rehearsal practicing and creating her pieces. Although she is only a sophomore, Isabelle’s ability to almost instantly pick up choreography amazes us. We are grateful to have such a talented and supportive teammate. We can’t wait to watch her finished dance! (We’ll be cheering from the Sidelines)

Varsity basketball’s captain’s pick of the week is Alexa Rosenzweig! Since the beginning of the season, she has brought high energy and humor to practices and games. When numbers were low because of injuries, she stepped up and filled positions all over the court. She has become one of the best shooters and drivers to the basket! Keep up the great work!!

This week’s CPOW for swimming is Olivia Frankel (XI)!! Despite not feeling her best at Winter Carnival, Olivia, noticing how short we were on swimmers, stepped in to swim all four of her events and got the team some valuable points! She is an indispensable member of the team this season and pushes her teammates to swim their best. Great job Olivia!
  • Captain's Pick of the Week - Winter Season

This weeks swimming CPOW is Liana Rodriguez (IX)! Among many other events, she has been swimming 100 Fly and 200 IM, some of the hardest races, and is a valuable asset on the team. She comes to practice full of energy (and KT tape!) and always tries her hardest without complaint. Welcome to varsity swimming Liana! We are so glad to have your energy and good spirit with the team this year!

Dance's CPOW this week goes to the freshmen (Tsion and Tyler). They have been wonderful editions to the team and are always enthusiastic, energized, and ready to dance! They have been quick to pick up choreography and become a part of the dance family. They are already integral parts of our team and we look forward to watching them flourish. Keep it up!

The varsity basketball captains pick of the week is Courtney Burnett. Courtney is consistently one of our strongest players and top scorers. She works hard in every practice and always encourages her teammates. We knew that she would be a great player into this season but she blew us away when she scored 16 points in our first game against Hewitt. go Courtney! We are expecting big things from her this year!! Keep it up!!

Sqaush's CPOW goes to Sophia Hoh. Sophia is an outstanding squash player who plays #2 on the ladder. She played an incredible match on Wednesday against Riverdale and got a huge win for the team. While she is furious on the court she is the kindest teammate, always looking at the upside of every situation. Oh and did we mention she is only in 8th grade. We are so glad she is a part of the team this year and we can't wait to see her shine throughout the rest of the season.
