The 2008 Brearley Benefit will support the funding for the Community Service Program, enabling the School to have a full-time community service coordinator who will work with our girls from Kindergarten through Class XII. Community service has long been an integral part of the Brearley education and philosophy, and there are currently many initiatives for students in the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. With the additional funding provided by the Benefit proceeds, the program will be greatly enhanced by the increased efforts of a full-time coordinator who, among other things, would develop appealing, age-appropriate activities and would lead discussions with the girls as they reflect on their service experiences.

While the Annual Fund is an essential component to help balance the School’s operating budget each year, the endowed fund created by the Benefit proceeds will help all of our daughters, as well as generations of future students.
