LiBrA (Lives of Brearley Alumnae)
LiBrA was founded in 2002 to make the collective wisdom of the alumnae community accessible across classes and generations. Two panel events a year (and an occasional informal brown-bag discussion) create intimate forums in which to explore professional and personal questions. Afterward, alumnae have the opportunity to catch up and continue the conversation over a glass of wine.
Careers Committee
The Careers Committee plans a fall panel featuring alumnae who share a particular field or professional orientation. Past events have included panels of Brearley entrepreneurs, journalists, and women involved in public health.
Lives in Balance Committee
The spring panel shifts the focus to personal and family issues that affect women at different stages in their lives. Topics have included women and depression; attitudes toward money and personal finance; and alumnae who have found a calling in religion. (The committee meets three or four times per year)
